Bass-Baritone
French bass-baritone Aurélien Pernay studied under Xavier le Maréchal and Jean-Philippe Courtis, and refined his artistry through masterclasses with Gabriel Bacquier, Jean-Pierre Furlan, and Norah Amsellem.
His operatic repertoire includes numerous Mozart roles, such as:
• Figaro and Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro)
• Guglielmo and Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte)
• Title role in Don Giovanni
He has also performed extensively in Offenbach’s operas, notably:
• Baron de Gondremarck (La Vie parisienne)
• Agamemnon (La Belle Hélène)
• Crespel and Luther (Les Contes d'Hoffmann)
With the Opéra-Studio de Genève, he has taken on roles such as:
• Guglielmo (Così fan tutte)
• Wolfram (Tannhäuser)
• Golaud (Pelléas et Mélisande)
In concert, Aurélien Pernay has performed numerous sacred works by Bach, Mozart, Rossini, and Brahms. He has also presented several song and Lieder recitals (Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Duparc, Ropartz...) alongside pianists Frédéric Calendreau and Anna Guyénot.
With his rich and versatile voice, Aurélien Pernay continues to establish himself as a distinguished artist in the operatic and concert repertoire.
