Tianji Liu

Baritone

Tianji Liu is a versatile Chinese baritone, known for his expressive performances and wide-ranging repertoire. Born in Xingyi, Guizhou Province, he graduated with distinction from the Music Department of the Changzhou Institute of Technology in 2018. There, he was honored with several accolades, including the Arts and Culture Scholarship, a Foreign Studies Scholarship, and the prestigious title of Honor Student.

In the same year, Tianji moved to Poland to pursue advanced vocal studies under Professor Marcin Ciszewski at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He earned his master’s degree in Vocal Performance in 2022 and subsequently completed Postgraduate Studies in Early Music. He is currently continuing his development through an artistic internship at the same institution.

Tianji Liu has distinguished himself in numerous vocal competitions across Asia and Europe, winning nine titles to date. His accolades include "The Most Vigorous Singer" and "Most Soulful Singer." Most recently, in May 2025, he was awarded First Prize and Best Male Voice at the prestigious Prof. Halina Słonicka Vocal Competition in Suwałki, Poland.

He has performed extensively in China and Poland, appearing with respected orchestras and ensembles. He made his operatic debut at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk and is a frequent guest on Radio Gdańsk. His collaborations include performances under the baton of conductors such as Marek Rocławski, Michał Krężlewski, Rafał Kłoczko, Filip Cieszyński, Lili Yang, and Juncai Liu.

In addition to his classical achievements, Tianji embraces musical diversity by integrating pop music into his concert programs. He also composes original songs and appears regularly in music videos for Guizhou Radio and Television Station. A dedicated advocate for the arts, he gives public lectures, hosts concerts, and promotes cultural exchange between China and Poland, both in person and through social media.
