Xiaoyi Yuan

Chinese soprano Xiaoyi Yuan obtained her Master’s degree from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milanand is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Voice at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
Praised for her crystal-clear, bell-like tone and delicate lyrical expressiveness, Yuan unites the poetic sensibility of the East with the refined elegance of Italian bel canto.
She has appeared on European stages including the Tosti Opera Theatre, the Maria Caniglia Theatre, and the Simone Opera House, and has worked with renowned artists such as Mariella Devia, Barbara Frittoli, Jolanta Stanelytė, and Ryszard Cieśla.
Yuan has been awarded Gold Medals at the Manchester, Royale, and Vivaldi International Music Competitions, First Prize at the Città di Fasano International Competition, and Fifth Prize at the NOMEA Opera Special Edition (2025).
Her recent engagements include the title role of Amalia in the new opera Amalia e Carlo, where she gave the modern premiere of “Ciel clemente, ciel pietoso,” and a solo recital at the Tosti Opera Theatre, lauded by Aquilone newspaper for her “lyrical and penetrating interpretation, combining narrative tension with stage charisma.”
